Topical vitamin A–based emulsions called Retinoids are the most used and most studied anti-aging compounds and may reduce fine lines and wrinkles, by increasing the production of collagen. They also stimulate the production of new blood vessels in the skin, which improves skin color by fading out actinic keratosis spots, evening pigmentation and brightening skin tone, speeding up the turnover of superficial skin cells and unclogging pores - making them look smaller and reducing acne.
Granactive Retinoid contains 10% of Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR), an ester of Retinoic Acid, the New Retinol Superstar - and a new member of the Royal Family of Skincare.
The active ingredient our skin cells can interpret is Retinoic Acid. Other forms of Retinoids have to be converted by our metabolic machinery to do something. That is not the case with HPR. Our Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate directly attaches itself to the Retinoid Receptors of the skin cells it binds - to work its skincare magic.

A new patented molecule called Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR), that is an ester of Retinoic Acid and works similar to Tretinoin (Retin–A) but without the irritation. Unlike Retinoic Acid, results of the standard RIPT (Repeat Insult Patch Test) skin irritation test showed no irritation after 21 days of continual use. Unlike Retinol and other derivatives that must be converted to the biologically active form of Retinoic Acid, HPR binds directly with Retinoid receptors to initiate a response in the skin. Because HPR is an ester of Retinoic Acid – the active form of Retinol, instead of an ester of Retinol, it doesn’t have to go through the same conversion process to be used directly by skin. So, in theory, a lower amount of HPR can elicit the same results as higher concentrations of Retinol.

Granactive Retinoid is hydroxypinacolone retinoate, a cosmetic grade ester of all-trans retinoic acid. This skin care active ingredient belongs to a class of chemical compounds termed retinoids, which are natural and synthetic derivatives of vitamin A capable of binding to retinoid receptors.

How often can I use Granactive Retinoid 2.5% Emulsion? Apply it once a day at night. If your skin is sensitive or you are new to retinoids, you can start by applying it 2-3 times per week to avoid irritation.
Note: This product is not a treatment for acne. When pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid any skincare products containing retinoids such as formulations with Granactive Retinoid or Retinol.
